Who I am

I'm an organizational psychologist who has also been the executive making the decisions I wished we had data to inform. I’m the SVP, Executive Engagement and Insights at Syndio, where we’re defining how organizations manage the largest and least-scrutinized investment they make in their people.

Every company has systems for how people get hired, developed, promoted, and paid. Often they were never designed. They just accumulated. For 20 years I've built them on purpose, with evidence instead of habit. I've done it as consultant cross every sector, inside the federal government, inside a company that scaled from under $4M to over $260M, and inside my own firm. The through-line: most things we call "people problems" are design problems with a human face. Design them better and behavior change becomes the more likely outcome.

The ideas

  • The Future of Work

We’ve spent a decade getting better at how work gets done, often losing sight of what it’s for. Technology facilitates the middle of the value chain. People start it and people finish it. The future of work isn’t something we inherit. It’s something we design.

  • The Human Side of AI

Your job is not to manufacture certainty. It’s to architect trust. In our study of workers across the US and Europe, 61% reported significant fear and uncertainty, and 45% are concealing their AI use from the companies paying for the licenses. Adoption fails for human reasons more often than technical ones.
